Free race massage to raise cash for charity

Competitors can relax and unwind after running the Bupa Great Yorkshire Run with specialist treatment and help to raise money for a regional cancer charity at the same time.
Leading practice Sheffield Sports Medicine & Physiotherapy will be offering free sports massage to competitors after the popular annual race on Sunday, 29 September.
Sheffield Sports Medicine & Physiotherapy sports massage specialists will also be on hand to prepare runners as part of their warm-up and also provide treatments to aid recovery at the end of the 10k course.
In return, runners can make a donation towards Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity, which needs to raise £1.5 million this year in order to fund pioneering cancer research and to help improve the treatments and care for people living with cancer.
The Bupa Great Yorkshire Run launched in 2007 and now attracts thousands of runners every year.  The event is a weekend of family fun and also includes the Bupa Junior and Mini Great Yorkshire Run, as well as live musical performances in the Peace Gardens.

Sheffield Sports Medicine & Physiotherapy specialists will be located in Tudor Square in Sheffield city centre.
